Mexican Salsas

On July 16, 2015, the Farmers Food and Folkways project demonstrated and gave out samples of three amazing fresh salsas. Here are their recipes if you missed the Market that day:

Salsa Roja recipe

Salsa Verde recipe

Pico de Gallo recipe

Pesto Sauce

This one is an easy one, and so delicious! If you follow this recipe you won’t be disappointed:

2 cups fresh basil

3/4 cup Parmesan cheese

3/4 cup olive oil

2 Tbsp pine nuts or almonds

2-4 cloves garlic

Place all ingredients in a food processor and process for 3 minutes. Freeze or use in 3 weeks.
