Moondance Gardens, owned and operated by Cecilia and David Deuel, is located on Route 20 in the town of York. David is a lifelong resident of York. Celia was born and raised in New Jersey and moved here in 1979. They have four adult sons who are employed and on their own! After 30 years of dairy farming and working as a bookkeeper, they decided to change directions. In 2011, they started a market garden selling their produce at a roadside stand and at the Geneseo Farmers Market. Their woodlots provide the resources for their maple syrup and log raised mushrooms. We now have a high tunnel with seven varieties of raspberries which should be available throughout the market season. Celia also makes an assortment of beautiful greeting cards. And any Van Morrison fan will realize where we got the name of our business!
